He Who Is Not Angry When There Is Just Cause For Anger...

The Antichrist Jesus: When Racism Replaces Christ-like Compassion

A Christian critique of racism, Trumpism, and false theology.
Exposing the “Antichrist Jesus” that excuses cruelty
And rewards with riches and power.

To Quote Thomas Aquinas:

He Who Is Not Angry When There Is Just Cause For Anger

Is Immoral. Why? Because Anger Looks To The Good Of Justice.

And If You Can Live Amid Injustice Without Anger,

You Are Immoral As Well As Unjust.

Delusion in Plain Sight

When I see Black people writing rubbish in support of a racist like Donald Trump, I know they are deluded.

Forget, for one moment, that you are Black.

If you cannot feel even a flicker of empathy or compassion for what men, women, and children suffered for four hundred years at the hands of pseudo-Christians—people you now aspire to resemble—then you are not a Christian.

What “Christian” Actually Means

Because, in case you never knew, “Christian” means Christ-like.

Would Jesus of Nazareth not have felt a modicum of compassion for what enslaved Africans endured?

None at all?

The Curse of Ham Excuse

Because they were supposedly descendants of Ham?
Because Ham laughed at his drunken father—a man whose name, incidentally, was Noah?

Well then, let us be honest.

If Jesus would have had no compassion for enslaved Africans, then you are right.

Try believing that for even one second.

But if He would have had compassion—and He would—then you stand condemned by your own beliefs.

The Counterfeit Jesus

There is, however, another Jesus.

A counterfeit.

One who looks exactly like Jesus, born of the Virgin Mary.
Yet where the true Jesus is right-handed, this one is left-handed.
Where the true Jesus has a heart of flesh, this one has a heart of stone.

This is a Jesus who enriches those who bow down and worship him.
A Jesus who rewards loyalty with comfort.
A Jesus who blesses power, excuses cruelty, and sanctifies indifference.

The Antichrist Jesus

That is not Jesus of Nazareth.

That is the anti-Jesus.
The Antichrist Jesus.

Perhaps that is the Jesus of your theology.

The one whose embrace you find comforting even as you lack virtue.
Lack charity.
Lack compassion.

The one who fills you with false hope and bestows upon you cheap grace.

A Mirror Held Up

And if that is the Jesus you follow,
then that tells us exactly what kind of African - what kind of human being you have chosen to be.

A Personal Reckoning

Where was I?

Ahhh—reflecting on my visit, thirteen years ago, to the Elmina slave castle.

I rest.
