“Between Mercy and Madness: John 3:16 vs Revelation 3:16”

Epic Rant Overheard on the Molue

MAN-1: Africans who support Trump in any shape or form may well be the ones spoken of in the Book of Revelation:

“So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spit you out of My mouth.”
— Revelation 3:16
Read it yourself.

Imagine going to eternal damnation because of your support for a man who hates you, hates democracy, and also hates God.

Seriously, let’s talk…

His eyes blazed like hot coals — I was relieved when the Molue pulled up at the next stop.
It wasn’t my stop, but I sensed a fight brewing.

(Postscript: I didn’t get down. I wanted to hear everything.)

MAN-2: Just focus on yourself and leave Trump out of your prejudice. God does not adore lesbians and gays. Show me any scripture that encourages sexual ungodliness. Stop trying to sell sin. DEI is unnecessary. Let people be hired based on qualifications, skills, and enthusiasm — not race, gender, or university.

MAN-1: And that — right there — is why God will spit the likes of you out of His mouth: for the dishonestyhypocrisy, and stupidity you display.

Dishonesty:

You said, “God does not adore lesbians.”

Who said He did?
Has anyone claimed that God “adores” lesbians?

Does God adore any man?
Does He adore you for condemning them?
Does He adore you simply because you are not one?
Does He adore you for your so-called moral uprightness?

See my point?

People like you are false witnesses.
You cannot be trusted because truth matters little to you — you thrive on distortion.
Dishonesty: sorted.

Hypocrisy:

Trump just appointed a man married to another man as Treasury Secretary.
I don’t need to ask what you think about that.
Your hypocrisy speaks louder than your words.

Stupidity:

You claim “DEI is unnecessary; people should be hired on merit.”

That’s the same tired argument used by those who resent having to compete on the basis of merit.
So they hide behind “meritocracy” while pushing the racist lie that non-white hires = incompetent hires.

If you weren’t so blind, you’d see that DEI ensures the best of the best get hired.
It disrupts the comfort of mediocrity — that’s why people like you hate it.

What’s worse? You’ve bought into the racist notion that being “colored” means being less capable.
And yet, by all appearances, you yourself are black.

What else can I call that but stupidity?

You’ve taken refuge in the fog of confusion created by “the lawless one.”

“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.”
— 1 Corinthians 14:33

You embrace confusion because you are already perishing.
And why do people perish? Because they refuse to believe the truth.

One such simple truth:

“A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.”
— Matthew 7:17

You deny this truth every time you defend evil men while claiming to serve a holy God.
You blind yourself with the false notion that you please God by denying His mercy — His Misericordiae.

Who can truly please God while denying His very nature — the God of mercy?

Especially toward those still trapped in their struggles —
waiting for true believers to minister to them rather than condemn them?

Listen:
As long as a person still breathes, they still have hope of being saved by the blood of Jesus.

And many of those you label “lesbians” will be in Heaven long before thousands of deluded people like you.

Not because “God adores lesbians,” as you falsely claim.
Not because they remained as they were —
but because they overcame.
Because they fought the good fight.
Because they turned around and led others to the foot of the Cross.
Because they experienced Christ’s healing in spite of people like you —
who work hard to deny their worthiness before God.

How tragic it will be…
for those who stand before the throne of our Lord boasting,

“Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name,
and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?”

Only to hear these chilling words:

“I never knew you. Depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness.”
— Matthew 7:22–23

Which is exactly the same as being spat out of the mouth of God:

“So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of My mouth.”
— Revelation 3:16

Final Thought

  1. John 3:16 — “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
  2. Revelation 3:16 — “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”

I don’t yet fully grasp the mystery of this recurring 3:16,
but I find comfort knowing that in laying my case down,
I have also learned something new.

Stop. Clinging. To. The. Deception. Of. The. Man. Of. HATE. The. Man. Of. Lawlessness.

I rest my case.

The Sin of Passing By. [How Not to Preach to the Broken]

Excerpt

Sinners are wounded — they will not be further beaten by me.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is better-a-humble-sinner.jpg

God expects me to be better than those who beat and robbed that man of his possessions —
to be like the #GoodSamaritan.

I will not rob the LGBTQ, or anyone with an alternative lifestyle, of the hope that is rightfully theirs.

Dear Self-Righteous,

Do you think they don’t already know?
That their alternative lifestyles will lead them to hell?

Even the demoniac who cried out,

“What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me!”

— when the legion of evil spirits was cast out —
he wanted to get in the boat and follow Jesus.

They too will want to go with Jesus,
once they are free from their physical and spiritual chains.
Guaranteed.

Learn from Jesus.

He did not preach to him — He helped him.
He did not condemn him — He spoke to him and restored him.

Jesus didn’t say:
“Stop living among the tombs. Stop breaking the chains you’re bound with.
Stop being a fool — a sinner. Stop letting demons live inside you.”

Yet those are exactly the things you say
when you act preachy and self-righteous.

What they do is not okay —
but I will not be like the priest and the Levite who walked past the man beaten by robbers.

Like the lowly Samaritan — despised by those who considered themselves holy —
I will stop by the broken, and where I can, I will bind their wounds.

Sinners are wounded — they will not be further beaten by me.
God expects me to be better than those who beat and robbed that man —
to be like the #GoodSamaritan.

I thus will not rob the LGBTQ,
or anyone with an alternative lifestyle,
of the hope that is rightfully theirs.

Good night.

Post Script

A fair question you ask:

“What if they die while you’re being gentle with them?”

I concede — I don’t have a ready answer.
But perhaps the real questions are these:

  1. What if you die while causing them to lose hope?
  2. What if you die while being self-righteous and driving them away?
  3. They already bear enough sin — why add to it by making them resent your arrogance?
  4. If the Holy Spirit has abandoned them, shouldn’t we intercede for them?
  5. And if the Spirit was never with them, shouldn’t we introduce them to Him?

We can only do our best.
Whatever remains undone — belongs to the Holy Spirit.

🙏🏽🙏🏽
It’s 4:44 a.m.
I need to return to rest.

Are You a Nation-Killer?

In the daytime, when robbers are asleep,

they’re awake — shaking down motorists:
Oga, wetin you carry?”

And at night, when real robbers operate,
they sleep.

They do this for 35 years — tens of thousands of them —
and then they retire,
and we pay them pensions for life.

no one cares about Nigeria...

The refrains of Bob Marley’s “Survival” drift into my consciousness as I write this:

🎶 “How can you be sitting there,
Telling me, that you care?

That you care?”
 🎵

Lest we point fingers and absolve ourselves of such behavior —
which has devastated this country —
I put it to you (I hate the phrase),
that every one of us is just as guilty as the police.

At best, we are only slightly better.

What’s the solution?
None.
Too late.

Iniquity has become our only motivation.

Don’t let your “joying” pastor deceive you:
We will never be great.

Yes, we will be lifted up —
but only because we cannot lag too far behind the rest of the world.

Not by any effort of ours.
(And that, my friend, is not greatness.)

So why am I writing this?
In the hope that each of us will take a little time to ask the simplest of questions:

How am I a nation-killer?
What can go wrong if I continue betraying this country daily?

From the judges who issue spurious judicial opinions without a shred of embarrassment,
to the senators who fixed their own salaries at — get this —
two million U.
S. dollars per annum.

(Digression: I concede it’s no longer $2 million… but not through any effort on our part or theirs —
only because the exchange rate has collapsed from a disgraceful ₦170/$ to nearly ₦1,000/$.
)

From the driver who steals petrol money,
to the nepotist in corporations and civil service who promotes or suppresses talent based on ethnicity or “connections.

From the lying pastor unfaithful to the Gospel,
to the bribe-taking activist for whom activism is just another rung on the ladder to “prosperity”…

The same question must be asked —
and answered honestly —
if we are ever to change.

Thanks to your actions daily, Sir/Ma,
despite the immense wealth bequeathed to us by God and by nature,
our people remain destitute —
among the poorest in human history.

We alone can slow this mad race toward the cliff —
at the bottom of which lie the carcasses and relics of failed societies, nations, and empires.

I rest my case.

Christian Extremism [The betrayal of Love at the heart of the Gospel]

I leave a group the moment people repeat the same old, tired, gasping-for-breath anti-caliphate rants.

These hot-headed religious bigots espouse what I term Taliban Christianity.

How conceited they are to think they can protect The Faith from extinction.
They believe they can achieve this by going against the most fundamental tenets of that same faith.
How pathetic that they delude themselves into believing that, to survive, our great Faith needs a defender like Donald J. Trump.

Fast forward to September/October 2025.
These Taliban Christians are now preparing to lay Nigeria to waste under the pretense that there is a “genocide against Christians.”
They want to make Africa’s most populous nation a testing ground for their regular trademark — sorrows, tears, and blood.

Yesterday, October 4, 2025, I had the distinct displeasure of debating with someone who styled himself as part of a group of “intellectuals.”
They claimed to have compiled evidence of this so-called genocide and presented it to the U.S. Congress.

I told him, “I hope you also compiled evidence of all the peace efforts your group of intellectuals started which failed — and your post-mortem analysis of why they failed.”

I also told him:

“There’s nothing more unpatriotic—and unchristian—than rushing off to the U.S. Congress to talk about a genocide which, in reality, is a conflict with ancient roots.
What about the Muslims killed by these same ‘Islamic’ terrorists — do their lives not matter?
Whatever clashes exist between these terrorists and Christians is a sign of the times.
At the bottom of it all is poverty — poverty both material and spiritual — on both sides of the religious divide.”

I should have added:

“The U.S. Congress should send you all back with this simple admonition:
‘To jaw-jaw is better than to war-war.’
It is, after all, an Americanism — one sadly lost in today’s climate of recklessness and geopolitical arrogance.”

As Nigerians, with each passing day, many innocent women and children are caught in the endless, bloody cycle of violence between farmers of one religion and herders of another.

Stopping this should be our primary concern — not inviting foreign powers to join in drinking from the cup of grief.

The Irony of Christian Militancy

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has been a huge letdown.

How grievous it must be to Jesus that we choose to fight—rather than turn the other cheek, go the extra mile, and give our shirt also when they ask for our coat.

We were meant to win over our adversaries with transparent love — with a desire to draw them into the life we live, with Jesus at the center of our being.
Not snarl and rattle our sabres to show how long our concealed fangs really are.

I once tried to discuss this with a very senior lawyer friend, but he told me, “That would be the peace of the grave,” and added that I was suffering from the Stockholm syndrome.

I remember responding:

“You do not trust that obeying the words of Jesus will take you to an expected end — yet you trust that paying tithes, which Jesus never mentioned nor asked you to, will make you prosper?”

Do we Christians really think we can save our religion — one that changed human history without swords — by fighting or defending it with swords?
A faith that survived Emperor Nero, Caligula, and all the Caesars — do we now think we can save it through fiery intolerance toward other religions?

What happened to the weapons of warfare bequeathed to us?

The Weapons of Warfare

2 Corinthians 10:3–5

We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do.
The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Every argument I have ever made against Christian militancy pales into shameful insignificance beside those three verses.
They also put to shame the TV and radio evangelists who invade living rooms preaching hate and bigotry.

What happened to the weapons of warfare bequeathed to us?
What happened to Love?

The Roadmap: Love for God’s Glory

1 Peter 4:7–9 gives us a roadmap on how to love for God’s glory:

“The end of all things is near.
Therefore, be clear-minded and sober, so that you can pray.
Above all, love one another deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
Show hospitality to one another without complaining.”

Let’s pause at verse 7:
“The end of all things is near; therefore be clear-minded and sober, so that you can pray.”

To be able to pray, we need clear-mindedness and sobriety.
And we need to be able to pray — because the end of all things is near.

On Clear-Mindedness

Clear-mindedness, or mental clarity, is the ability to think and focus without confusion or distraction — allowing for rational decision-making, calm discernment, and a mind free from worry or overwhelming emotion.

From a Christian point of view, to be clear-minded is to have spiritual and emotional clarity — the ability to think straight without being clouded by fear, anger, greed, or pride.
It is not just mental focus; it is spiritual focus.

On Sobriety

What, then, is sobriety?
Sobriety means self-restraint, discretion, and prudence.
It means balance — being calm, self-controlled, and unshaken by extremes.

A sober Christian does not get intoxicated by power, politics, pleasure, or even religion.
They are steady — serious about life, yet peaceful and watchful.

When St. Peter says, “Therefore be clear-minded and sober, so that you can pray,” he is saying:

  • Discern what truly matters.
  • See through deception.
  • Refuse to let emotion or hysteria drive your choices.

So that your prayers do not drift into panic or selfishness.

Above All—Love

“Above all, love one another deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”

After all the wars, debates, and doctrines, Peter returns us to the core of the Gospel: Love.
Then he adds, “Show hospitality to one another—without complaining.”

How, then, has the religion of Love become the religion of hate?

Forget what is going on in the world for a moment and ask yourself:
Are we being tried?
Is the Body of Christ being tried?

#MolueMonologues: Is prayer for the lazy?

#MolueMonologues: Is prayer for the lazy?

Absolutely not.
The lazy don’t pray — they prey.
They’re the ones who exploit others:
the thieves, the corrupt officials, the dishonest few who harm the many.
The strong are the ones who pray —
for strength, for wisdom, for grace.
Don’t get it twisted.
Prayer is for those who’ve done everything humanly possible,
yet still face a wall that won’t move.
Sometimes the answer to their prayer is:
“Wait.”
“You haven’t done enough.”
“Change.”
“You already have what you need.”
A life without prayer?
Hmmmm…
Imagine if lions could pray.
(But they don’t — it’s not in their nature.)
Now imagine men who won’t pray.
See the danger?
They say standing upright gave Homo erectus an evolutionary edge.
What did he do with that advantage?
He built tools, forged paths, created language… developed new habits LIKE PRAYING… the first stirrings of culture) - a culture that put him at the top of the food chain….
It’s the very nature of man to pray.
Evolution drops (not add) redundancy. As men drop habits like prayer, that too is evolution….
….And the civilization which PRAYS, that is the civilization which will thrive.
Read that again and then look around you.
Let me say that again….
….the civilization which PRAYS, that is the civilization which will thrive.
Whilst the civilization which PREYS on God, which has developed a theology that has God bound, like the genie in Aladdin’s lamp, which also increasing rejects struggling humanity…
…., which equates struggling with laziness, not being “right with God”, that civilization will strive to survive.
At this stage in human civilization, there’s more hope for one of the great religions than there is for the other.
One day not too far hence, I fully expect B that in the assemblies we F that religion for which there is more hope songs like the ones we sang as 10 year olds will ring out:
Don’t be tired in you hope.
Don’t be tired in you works
Don’t be tired in praying…
We don’t know when HE shall come.
Yes indeed.
They too are expecting him.
(You reading this far already know what I’m talking about).
“Return to me” Verbatim Christian Network loves to say.
Indeed…
Start new habits - like PRAYING 5 times a day or more. It’s the only thing that will make the bride (the church) comely and hasten the return of the bridegroom….
Let him who have ears hear.
She who has ears hear!
I rest my case
Postscript:
Let your total submission be evident in your prayers.
And if you need help, seek out those who are totally submitted (seek huidance though teh wordage of their prayers
Those who submit to the Almighty pray: “Let me be more Christlike today than I was yesterday.”
Those who submit to Mammon pray:
“Let me make more illicit gain today than I did yesterday.”
But the spiritually dead - the ones who prey on society —
don’t just seek more illicit gain.
They crave the power to harm,
to cause more suffering,
to spread doom, gloom,
and the darkness within their souls everywhere.
(You already know those of whom I speak)....
