Bank-o-cracy:

A structural response to Nigeria’s culture of corruption.

We’re working on a concept we call Bank-o-cracy — a bold, systemic alternative to the failed (and still failing) status quo.

Highlights:

• Six central banks — one in each region of the country.
• A hefty license fee to be paid by any bank that wishes to serve the people.
• The six most viable banks will be selected; all others must merge based on geography.
• Each bank will be paired with serious foreign partners (we already have a shortlist).
• Every project, salary, and contract will pass through these regional banks.
• Banks will operate under strict KPIs tied to national development.
• Each year a bank meets its KPIs, 20% of its license fee will be refunded.
• After five years, every license must be re-bid competitively.
• Decisions will be based on business merit, not political connections.

Who decides what “business needs” are?

Parliament will.

But not this broken version of Parliament.
We mean a new one—based on “Associocracy” or “Guildocracy”:
A Parliament made up of representatives from every trade, guild, and professional body in the land.

Because clearly, this political system has failed.
The PDP won’t save you.
Neither will P2B.
Or any other recycled member of the opposition.

As for the crooked amongst the political elite?
They will be forced into retirement by the system itself.

The good ones amongst them will be all too happy to be part of a bold new system aimed to delivering true dividends of democracy to an increasingly impoverished nation, the #BigAgendaAfrica way.
