This video of a child singing carried me to an unexpected place - I found myself falling even deeper in love with my people—Jesus’s little ones—those who depend wholly on God...
....Who have come to the end of their own strength and simply rest. Rest their weary heads upon God’s breast,
like a child upon the father’s..
Like an electron jolted out of its orbit by a burst of energy,
I must release something to return to my own null point.
That is why I write - to shed or to receive,
To drop or to rise - until I find that still center,
That null-point again.
Anyway, Inspired by this unknown family in fellowship with the Holy Spirit, I wrote these words.
Quote:
The Sun That Lingers — When Creation Sings for the Pure in Heart
The sun rises each morning
with its own hopes too—
Hopes of watching humanity
spread beauty like dew across the fields,
across the earth…
Hopes of us
making golden hay
while it pours out its heart,
bathing the world in radiant streams of light.
Are you doing beautiful things?
Are you doing things beautifully?
Do you make the sun smile
as it peeks above the horizon?
Do you make it linger at evening’s edge,
finding every reason to stay a little longer—
reluctant to leave?
Do you make the world a better place,
a sanctuary of kindness and song?
Lift up your voice if you do!
Sing a hymn such as this
to the Giver of Life…
the One who created you—
and the sun.
Jesus said:
“Assuredly, I say to you,
unless you are converted and become
as little children,
you will by no means enter
the kingdom of heaven.”
So I ask you:
Are you like a little child?
That video drew me into a reverie I hadn’t expected I invite you to watch it here:

Apparently it was the recording of a family singing a popular gospel song, which thanks to Shazam I found here: https://youtu.be/rkz9xBFD-ls?si=5R_GTSSQQSsPLbaP
